Qualification
- Entries and re-entries, 6 games
- The top 78 players will qualify for the following final steps:
- Players in positions 7-78 will qualify to the Final step 1
- Players in positions 1-6 will qualify to the Final step 3
Final step 1
- 72 players play 4 games with the pin fall from the qualification carried forward
- Players in positions 1-45 will qualify to the Final step 2
- The players not continuing to the Final step 2 will be ranked 52-78 according to their position in the Final step 1.
Final step 2
- 45 players will play 4 games starting from scratch
- Top 22 will continue to the Final step 3
- The remaining 23 players will be ranked 29-51 according to their positions in the final step 2
Seeding for the final step 3-6
- In the final step 3-6 players will be seeded according to their scores in the previous step.
- In step 3 the Top 6 after qualification will be seeded 1-6.
Matching in the final step 3-6
- In each of steps 3-6 there will be pools of 4 players.
- Before composing the pools the players will be divided in 4 equally sized groups (1-4) according to their seeding.
- Players in group 1 will be assigned to each their pool (1-N) in direct seeding order.
- Players in group 2 will be assigned to each their pool (1-N) in inverse seeding order.
- Players in group 3 will be assigned to each their pool (1-N) in direct seeding order.
- Players in group 4 will be assigned to each their pool (1-N) in inverse seeding order.
- In each step a pool will be assigned to a pair of lanes.
- Two games will be played in each step starting from scratch, total pinfall to count.
Final step 3
- 28 players. There will be 7 pools of 4 players. 2 games. Top two from each pool will qualify for the final step 4.
- Also advancing to final step 4 are two Lucky Losers, which will be the four 3rd positioned with the highest pin falls.
- The remaining 12 players will be ranked 17-28 according to their scores in the step 3.
Final step 4
- 16 players. There will be 4 pools of 4 players. 2 games. Top two from each pool will qualify for the final step 5.
- The remaining 8 players will be ranked 9-16 according to their scores in the step 4.
Final step 5
- 8 players. There will be 2 pools of 4 players. 2 games. Top two from each pool will qualify for the final step 6
- The remaining 4 players will be ranked 5-8 according to their scores in the step 5
Final step 6
- 4 players. There will be 1 pool of 4 players. 2 games.
- The players will be ranked 1-4 according to their scores in the step 6.

Tournament tie rules |
Qualification and all final steps In case of a tie, the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest last game in a step. If a tie still exists the highest ranked player will be the player with the highest second last game in a step etc. If all games in a step are tie, then the tie will be broken by following the same procedure for the last game in the previous step, then the second last game in the previous step etc. |
